Article 1. Definitions
- Member: a person using PawCatch features through a signed-in account.
- Walk record: user-created records including routes, times, distances, participating dogs and poop status.
- Family: users who manage information and walk history for the same dog through invitations and connections.
- Territory: game data representing walks and item-use results as map areas. It does not grant ownership of land or permission to enter it.
- Pawprints, Bones and items: in-service currencies and features used under the acquisition/use conditions shown in the app. Check the shop for applicable colors, frames, walk items and other products.
- Content: information registered or created in the service, such as profiles, shared walks, feeds, comments, chats, traces, places, reviews, photos and emoticons.
Article 2. Registration and account management
Members register through an available sign-in method and review the necessary terms and consents. Optional consent is limited to each feature’s purpose. Acceptance of general terms does not replace every choice about location sharing, advertising or other optional processing.
Do not impersonate another person or use someone else’s authentication. If account theft is suspected, check your sign-in provider’s security settings and contact the operator. Use family features by connecting your individual accounts.
Processing personal or personal-location data of children under 14 requires statutory procedures, including legal-representative consent. The app’s age rating or a general checkbox does not replace them. Contact the operator about related requests.
Article 3. Features and use of location
Features requiring location are explained separately in the Privacy Policy and Location-Based Service Terms. An active walk may be recorded with the screen off or while another app is in use. Live sharing and saving records are different choices.
Supported features vary with device, OS, app version and operating settings. Feature instructions and guides explain GPS errors, network problems, power-saving restrictions and recovery methods.
- Walks: starting/ending walks through a phone or connected watch; viewing routes, distance, duration and dog-specific records.
- Catch: map territory, personal/neighborhood rankings, missions, the Pawprints shop and walk items.
- Sharing: family dog/walk management, users’ chosen live public-walker display and greetings, and communication through friends, feeds and emoticons.
- PawCatch Places and traces: discovering places to visit with dogs and sharing information, reviews, photos, comments and locations.
- Record customization: app creation features such as map colors, frames, walk images/videos and AI emoticons.
Article 4. Family connections and visibility
Before connecting family members, check the dogs to be managed together and sharing scope. Information needed for family management, including a dog’s walker, walk time/route and poop status, may be shown to connected users.
Live public walks, post visibility, family sharing, territory and ranking display follow their respective features. Making live location private does not recover posts or family records already shared.
Even when a saved walk is set to “private,” other signed-in users can currently view its list and route if the active account has “Available to walk together” enabled. Turning off profile search visibility alone does not remove that access. The live-location sharing switch starts on by default on the walk-start screen and can be turned off before starting. See the location terms and privacy policy for detailed processing scope.
Recipients of external links or images may save or reshare content. Check necessary permissions before sharing materials containing someone else’s location, face or contact information.
Article 5. In-app currencies, items and creation
Acquisition conditions, amounts consumed, effects and validity of Pawprints, Bones and items are displayed on the use/purchase screen. Territory results and rankings can change with settlement, seasons and other users’ activity.
In-app currencies such as Pawprints and Bones may be used in the shop and emoticon creation. If marketplace currency purchases or subscriptions are offered, availability varies with platform and operating settings. Unauthorized account/currency trades or fraudulent acquisition may be restricted. Check the relevant screen for any separate exchange benefits.
Where paid products are offered, product details, prices, conditions and withdrawal/refund procedures are explained before payment. Marketplace policies alone are not used to restrict statutory rights.
Ad-viewing rewards depend on the stated completion conditions and ad availability. If rewards fail or a balance is deducted without delivery, provide your account and the time of the problem. Do not send passwords.
AI images/emoticons vary with inputs and processing results. Use photos you are permitted to use and check that generated output does not infringe others’ rights. Request handling, costs, retries and refunds follow the creation screen and applicable law.
Article 6. Community standards
These standards apply to user-created content and interactions, including feeds, comments, chats, profiles, traces, place reports and reviews. Respect animals’ and other owners’ safety and privacy.
- Content promoting animal abuse or abandonment, sexual exploitation, illegal trade or real-world harm.
- Repeated harassment, threats, hate or impersonation, location-based stalking, or attempts to circumvent blocks.
- Disclosure of others’ identity, contact details or home locations without consent, or infringement of copyright, likeness or other rights.
- Repeated advertising/spam/phishing, false reports or reporting abuse, or deceiving others to obtain currency or information.
- Manipulating GPS/walk records, abusing errors or automation, or unauthorized access to servers or other accounts.
Article 7. Reports, blocks and restrictions
Report problematic content through its report menu or support email. Find your block list under blocked-user management in app settings. Send only necessary details about harm; do not unnecessarily attach other people’s personal data.
The operator may check reports, risk and repetition and take necessary actions, including hiding/deleting posts or restricting features. Urgent rights infringements or safety risks may first be restricted from display. Unless a statutory reason limits notice, reasons and appeal methods are explained.
Use is not restricted solely because of legitimate criticism or disagreement. To contest an action, email the relevant content/account and reasons. The action is maintained, changed or lifted after review and the result explained. This is not a guarantee of automatic handling of all reports or resolution within a fixed time.
Article 8. Content rights
Rights in content members create belong to the relevant rights holders. The operator uses content to store, transmit and display it within the member’s selected visibility, and to resize or convert formats as needed for features.
Uses beyond service provision, such as external advertising or separate promotional material, require separate permission. Registration is not treated as granting unlimited promotional rights in all content.
The Privacy Policy explains deletion and handling of related data. The operator may be unable to immediately recover copies already saved by other users or cached by external services.
Article 9. Walk and place safety
While moving, prioritize surrounding traffic and your dog’s condition. Territory, items and rankings do not authorize entry to dangerous areas or private property. Follow access rules, leash requirements and other local rules.
Place information, access permissions, opening hours and reviews may change or differ from reality; check before visiting. Poop records and user content do not replace medical judgment for diagnosis or treatment of animals.
These are safe-use standards, not a clause excluding the operator’s legal responsibility for faults attributable to the operator.
Article 10. Operator duties and service changes
The operator takes necessary measures for privacy, service stability, errors and legitimate inquiries. Members’ data is handled within stated purposes and lawful grounds.
Maintenance, troubleshooting and feature/season changes may change or temporarily suspend the service. Planned important changes and their timing are announced in advance. Where advance notice is difficult, such as urgent failures, notice is provided afterward to the extent information can be confirmed.
If a paid feature stops or cannot be provided, remaining access conditions and necessary refunds/compensation are explained according to applicable law.
Article 11. Account withdrawal and data deletion
Members can withdraw in My → Settings → Delete account, or request account/data deletion through the deletion page. Email requests are also available. Recent sign-in or additional identity verification may be needed to protect an account.
Withdrawal ends account use; it is not described as simultaneous automatic destruction of all walks, territories, posts or shared materials. You can specify data to delete on the request page and receive results after identity checks. See the Privacy Policy for data-specific retention/destruction.
Statutorily preserved records are distinguished by item, ground and period. These terms do not restrict statutory consent-withdrawal or destruction rights.
Article 12. Damages and disputes
The operator and members bear responsibility under applicable law for damage attributable to their respective faults. Operator liability is not categorically excluded because a feature is free, nor statutory liability exempted because of communication/location errors.
You can seek resolution through support. Statutory mediation and competent-court procedures remain available regardless of whether you contact the operator. The laws of the Republic of Korea apply.
Article 13. Publication and changes
October 12, 2026, v5 corrected actual access to walk records and platform-dependent availability of optional products. It does not expand existing consent or deem users to have consented to new location processing.
The operator publishes these terms in the app and website for easy access. Changes are announced with their content, reasons and application date.
Revisions are announced at least seven days before application, or at least 30 days for changes unfavorable or important to members. Matters requiring separate consent under applicable law use a clear choice process. Viewing or silence is not treated as consent to new personal-location processing.
Also review the separate privacy and location documents below. Differences between documents are corrected and explained to reflect legislation and actual processing.
